SYLLABUS

I. DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE

This course is an introduction/survey to each book of the New Testament. It will survey the life of Christ and the establishment of the early church as presented in the Gospels, Acts, and the other New Testament letters.

II. STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • For the student to become so comfortable with the library of the 27 New Testament books that he or she instantly knows where to go to find what they need in the New Testament Scripture.
  • To give the students the opportunity to master the flavor of each book of the New Testament so that it becomes alive within them.

V. TEACHING METHODS

  1. Lectures are accompanied by lecture notes, charts, and quizzes. Quizzes and exams are designed to show you how well you have mastered the material.
  2. The school is designed for students to study at their own pace. Classes are set up in a 13-week semester format. Most students complete one lesson a week. However, some do more, even taking two courses together. The goal is not about time or grades, but learning the word of God for personal growth and sharing with others.
