Who We Are

The Myrtle Beach Church of Christ is an undenominational body of baptized believers located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We are not affiliated with any denomination or religious organization. We hold to the Bible alone as our creed — the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and all-sufficient Word of God.

We are simply Christians, seeking to follow the New Testament pattern for the Lord’s church — in our worship, our doctrine, our fellowship, and our mission.

What We Believe

Our beliefs are rooted entirely in Scripture. We do not follow the creeds, councils, or traditions of men — we follow the Word of God as our sole authority in all matters of faith and practice.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and all-sufficient Word of God. It is our only rule of faith and practice. Nothing is added to it and nothing is taken from it.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the only Savior, and the head of the church. Salvation is found in Him alone–through obedient faith, repentance, confession, baptism, and a faithful Christian life until death (Revelation 2:10).

The Church

We believe the church belongs to Christ. We seek to be the New Testament church in name, doctrine, and practice — undenominational, undivided, and anchored in the Word.

Our Mission

We exist to preach the Word, reach the lost, and provide a warm and caring fellowship. Everything we do — including this school — flows from that mission.

How the School Fits In

The Myrtle Beach School of Preaching and Biblical Studies was not created as a separate institution. It was created as a direct extension of our mission — to preach the Word, reach the lost, and equip believers to do the same.

South Carolina and the world need more preachers, teachers, and members who are equipped to share God’s Word. We built this school because we believe the local church has a responsibility to train its people — and that trained, equipped believers change communities.

When you enroll in this school, you are not just signing up for a Bible course. You are becoming part of a ministry that has been faithfully serving the Lord in Myrtle Beach and beyond for decades.

Our Minister

Dr. Steven K. Guy

Minister & Elder, Myrtle Beach Church of Christ | Director, MBSPBS

Dr. Steven K. Guy has served as the minister of the Myrtle Beach Church of Christ for many years and serves as one of its elders. He also serves as the director of the Myrtle Beach School of Preaching and Biblical Studies. His ministry spans more than 50 years and has taken him to congregations across California, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi.
