About the Myrtle Beach School of Preaching and Biblical Studies

Who We Are

The Myrtle Beach School of Preaching and Biblical Studies is an outreach of the Myrtle Beach Church of Christ — an undenominational body of baptized believers committed to the Bible as the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and all-sufficient Word of God.

We are not a denomination. We are not affiliated with a seminary system or credentialing board. We are a local church that believes deeply in the power of God’s Word to transform lives — and we created this school to help more people understand it, teach it, and live it.

South Carolina and the world need more preachers, teachers, and members who are equipped to carry the Gospel. This school exists to help meet that need — offering structured, certificate-bearing Bible education for men, women, and everyday church members who are ready to go deeper.

Our Mission & Vision

Mission

To teach and equip students with the tools to understand the Word of God in order to make a difference in their lives and the world around them.

Vision

To empower students to know God and His Word and to develop their God-given commission to seek and save the lost by providing the tools to accomplish it.

These are not institutional statements written for a brochure. They reflect a genuine conviction that the local church has a responsibility to train its people — and that trained, equipped believers change communities.

Why This School Exists

The Myrtle Beach School of Preaching and Biblical Studies was built around three convictions:

Training Preachers

The Preacher’s Track exists because the pulpit matters. Men who preach need more than passion — they need tools. Homiletics, expository preaching, biblical survey, and ministry leadership are not optional extras. They are the foundation of effective, faithful proclamation.

Outcome: Students will leave with a deeper knowledge of Scripture and a genuine readiness to answer the calling God has placed on their lives.

Equipping Women

The Christian Women’s Track recognizes that women are among the most consistent and influential teachers in the local church. This track equips women with spiritual maturity, sound biblical knowledge, and the practical skills to teach and encourage other women and children with confidence.

Outcome: Students will grow in their walk with God and their ability to pour His Word into the lives of the women and children around them.

Strengthening the Congregation

The Bible Knowledge Track exists for the person in the pew who is hungry to know more. Not every student is called to preach or teach formally — but every believer benefits from a structured, thorough understanding of God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation.

Outcome: Students will leave with a richer understanding of God’s Word and a faith that is more deeply rooted, more confidently lived, and more readily shared.

Rooted in the Local Church

This school is not a standalone institution. It exists because the Myrtle Beach Church of Christ believes that the Great Commission is carried out through local congregations — and that local congregations are strongest when their members are deeply rooted in Scripture.

The mission of the Myrtle Beach Church of Christ is simple:

To preach the word, reach the lost, and provide a warm and caring fellowship.

The school is an extension of that mission — taking it beyond Sunday mornings and into the hands of students who are ready to be equipped for a lifetime of faithful service.
